After a distinctive display in his first season with the Qatar side, former Super Eagles midfielder Michael Babatunde is set to be rewarded with a new improved contract by the club.
Babatunde who was part of the Super Eagles team to the last world cup in Brazil, scored 25 goals with 10 assist which eventually helped the second division side to the elite division. Qatar SC has also turned down two lucrative offers from two European clubs for the left-footed player who has also played in Morocco.
Meanwhile, the player has also outlined his intention of returning to the Super Eagles.
“I had a good season, but it’s not enough to have a good season and be left out of your national team. “I’m happy we gained promotion, but I want to build on that form so I can get a chance to represent my country” he concluded.
