Heartland FC Coach Ramson Madu is not carried away with his team’s fine start to the 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Heartland has won three of its four matches played so far and appears to be in good form, prompting talks of a top place finish by fans.
Ramson Madu is however keeping his feet on the ground and says Heartland is still seeking balance as the league progresses.
“I am not thinking of the league at the moment,” said Madu after his side beat Go Round FC in mid week.
“What I’m thinking of is how to find balance in the league. You know for this season 8 teams will be relegated.
“It’s a tough league, so that’s where my focus is on now.”
Heartland FC looked sure candidates for relegation last season following a string of poor performances which saw them bottom of the table, 9 points adrift of safety in Week 24, when the league was cut short.
Ramson Madu was suspended last season while the team struggled and appears not willing to leave anything to chance this time round after being reinstated.
