We are ready for Nigeria – Bruce

Shepolopolo of Zambia coach, Bruce Mwape, says his team is ready to face Super Falcons of Nigeria when they clash tomorrow ( Wednesday) at the Cape Coast stadium. Bruce said they have put the win over Equatorial Guinea behind them and are ready to face the defending champion Nigeria.

“The win against Equatorial Guinea is  history, our focus now is Nigeria and we are ready to face them”.

Bruce is aware that Nigeria will come all out like a wounded lion and possibly deploy different tactics in tomorrow’s match but he is confident that no matter the tactics Nigeria comes up with, his team will counter it.

“I’m sure Nigeria will come like a wounded lion and fight for maximum  point but as far as I’m concerned, we will counter whatever tactics they come up with”

Bruce expressed fears that his key player Babara Banda may likely miss the match against Nigeria due to injury but has confident in the other players .

“Babara picked up injury during training yesterday ( Monday) and team doctors are yet to give update on her but I have confidence in my other players to get the result against Nigeria”.

The last time both teams met was October 14th 2014  in Namibia, Nigeria defeated Zambia 6 – 0 but Bruce believes that 2014 is past and they are ready to get a positive result against Nigeria tomorrow (Wednesday).

“2014 is a long time ago and it’s past tense, we look forward to getting a good result against Nigeria tomorrow”.
