There was drama in the technical bench of Torino over the weekend as manager Sinisa Mihajlovic was angry with his assistants Attilio Lombardo and Luca Castellazzi for failing to implement his instruction.
Coach Mihajlovic meant for Nigerian attacking midfielder Joel Obi to be substituted in favour of a more defensive player but instead, his assistants pulled out Tomas Rincon which caused the coach to angrily shove his deputy while shouting down at his technical crew over the break down in communication.
Trouble started as Torino came under severe pressure from their opponent Sassoulo with a slight 1-0 lead around the 78th minute and the manager wanted to protect their slight advantage.
But it all turned out pretty well as Joel Obi later netted a goal in the 88th minute to stretch scores to 3-0 at Stadio Olimpico.
Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic later apologized to his assistants and Torino fans for his impulsive actions.
