Ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup clash between Nigeria representative Rivers United and Kampala City Council Authority FC of Uganda next week the Ugandan club is set to arrive Nigeria on Sunday.
KCCA emerged double champions of Ugandan football beating Paidha Black Angels to win the Uganda Cup on Thursday and completed a rare domestic league and cup triumph in the same season.
The club had earlier in the month retained the Uganda Premier League title.
Victory in the cup final ended a 13-year cup drought at KCCA, with the previous successes recorded in 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1987, 1990, 1993 and 2004.
KCAA edged Rivers United 2-1 in the first meeting between the two in the competition. The match saw Rivers United first choice goalkeeper Sunday Rotimi pick up an injury which ruled him out for a month. He still remains a doubt for the matchday 4 group-stage clash.
Rivers United duo of Esosa Igbinoba and Frederick Obomate have returned to the team fully fit for the encounter.
Rivers United need to win this game to have any realistic chance of progressing to the next round of the competition.
