Rohr joins up with CHAN Eagles in Benin


Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has arrived Cotonou, Benin Republic ahead of the 2018 CHAN qualifiers, can report.

The Franco-German coach arrived Cotonou Friday night from France and will supervise the team’s tactical plans for the qualifier.

Rohr spent one week with the CHAN Eagles in Kano before departing for Europe to monitor Nigerian players abroad ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon next month.

The Squirrels of Benin will host the Super Eagles in the 1st leg of the final round of the 2018 CHAN qualifiers on Sunday at the Stade de Matheu Kerekou.

“Coach Gernot Rohr arrived yesterday (Friday) night and we are happy to have him with us for the game on Sunday,” Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye disclosed to

Super Eagles will have their official training this evening at the Stade de Matheu Kerekou 4pm local time with Gernot Rohr in attendance.
