AS Roma defender Nura Abdullahi has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with an injury to his right leg.
20-year-old Abdullahi was injured during training on Tuesday morning.
Roma confirmed the injury on their website asroma.com on Wednesday after the Nigerian underwent medical tests.
“Medical tests conducted on Wednesday morning revealed evidence of a muscle injury/tendon issue in the femoral biceps of the right thigh.
“His recovery is expected to take between six and eight weeks,” said a statement on Roma’s website.
After injury to first choice right back Bruno Peres on Sunday, the Nigerian was expected to slot in the right side of defense on Saturday against Inter Milan in the Serie A.
