On-loan AS Roma striker Umar Sadiq was the match hero for NAC Breda as he scored from the spot to hand his side a 2-1 win over reigning Dutch champions Feyenoord.
The Rio 2016 Olympic football bronze medalist converted from the penalty spot in the 49th minute to complete a come back victory from a goal down to eventually winning the game 2-1.
Jens Toornstra’s 17th minute opener for Feyenoord silenced the home crowd at the Rat Verlegh Stadion, but Thierry Ambrose equalized for Breda and restored the voices of the home crowd as both sides went in at the break level.
The home crowd were given much more to cheer about when Umar converted from the penalty spot in the 49th minute of the second half.
Umar was then recalled to the bench in the 84th minute with Bodi Brusselers taking his place on the pitch.
Sadiq Umar, 21, has now scored 3 goals in 6 matches for NAC Breda since making the switch from Italian Serie A side Torino, where he was first loaned out to by Roma.
