In order to secure regular football action, Super Eagles striker Kayode Olarenwaju has left Spanish La Liga side Girona FC for Ukrainian premier league club Shakhtar Donetsk on loan from Manchester City.
Kayode who was among five players loaned to Girona by English premier league leaders Manchester city made 13 appearances in all competitions for Girona but failed to score a single goal.

The skilful forward attracted worldwide attention with his exploits with Austrian side Austria Wien, where he was the league’s top scorer in 2016-17 season.
The Spanish side confirmed his movement to the Ukrainian side on its twitter handle on Friday night .

The player might have the opportunity to play in the Uefa Champions league for Shakhtar Donetsk if they advance to the next stage of the competition. They currently hold a 2-1 advantage over Roma ahead of the second leg in Rome.
Shakhtar Donetsk hold an option to buy the 24-year-old Nigerian from Manchester City if all goes well.
Kayode made his competitive debut for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the 2019 AFCON qualifier against South Africa.
