Nigeria’s Super Eagles will depart Essentuki for Volgograd on Thursday ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Group D matchday two fixture against Iceland on Friday.
Training during the week was great and intensified as all 23 players are available for selection. The battle for the starting shirts against Iceland was positive among the players.
The team trained mostly twice daily, they worked on shooting practices and set pieces, both defending and scoring from set pieces situation.
The probable line-up for tomorrow’s game were on fire in training with good scoring records all week.
The Franco-German coach, Gernot Rohr, might make about three changes in the line-up. Elderson Echiejile and Ahmed Musa are likely to start against Iceland.
The team will have their official training at the Volgograd Arena this evening and also the official press conference.
