21-year-old Nigerian midfielder Uche Agbo has joined Belgian club Standard Liège from Granada on a three year deal.
The versatile midfielder departed Nigeria for Belgium at the weekend to complete his switch.
Standard Liege confirmed his capture via their twitter handle
He was Nigeria’s lone flag bearer in the Spanish top flight last season after playing 31 games for Granada.
“Uche is a young midfielder with an important game volume and good ball recovery. A large part of last season he was a top player in the Spanish league. He is ready for a new challenge. He will offer more options for our midfield,” said club Chairman Olivier Renard.
Standard Liège, who have featured several Nigerian stars like Rabiu Afolabi, Joseph Yobo, Imoh Ezekiel and most recently Elderson Echiejile, now add Agbo to their ranks.
