Ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup 2nd leg playoff between Enyimba FC and Bidvest Wits in Calabar, on Wednesday evening, Enyimba FC Goal Poacher, Stephen Chukwude, has stated that Enyimba will complete the work they started in South Africa.
Stephen Chukwude in a Chat with Naijafootballplus.com on Tuesday evening said Enyimba was confident going into the game but will be careful to avoid being over confident.
“We started a job there in South Africa, by getting a draw, we will get the job done tomorrow by coming all out to get the win against Bidvest,” he said.
“We will actually be noting complacency at this stage, because we can’t allow that to set in.”
The striker also added that though the South African club was a good side, Enyimba had prepared well for the game having in mind the team’s shortcomings in the first leg.
“We know they have a pattern, but I don’t see it working here in Calabar, because we have made amends to first leg errors and we are ready to frustrate them all through 90 minutes.”
He also called for fans support at the team’s adopted home ground of Calabar.
“We are on the right track, so out fans should come out massively and support us as we edge close to the competition’s group stages, and we will make them proud.”
Enyimba look better placed to qualify to the group stage, but 90 minutes will tell the story after Wednesday’s clash with the South African Champions.
