Italian Serie A giants AS Roma has confirmed the move of former Dream Team VI striker Sadiq Umar to Scottish Premier League side Rangers on loan.
The Serie A club announced his move via official twitter handle of the club on Tuesday night.
“OFFICIAL! Striker Sadiq Umar has agreed a season-long loan deal with Rangers Good luck, Sadiq,” the Tweet reads.
At 21, Umar has already impressed with Roma and on loan spells, most notably during a spell at NAC Breda last season. He scored five goals in 12 appearances in the Dutch Eredivisie. To date he has netted twice in six senior appearances for his parent club Roma, after breaking into the first team at age 18.
Umar won Olympic bronze medal with Nigeria at the 2018 Rio Olympics. The forward scored four goals at the tournament in Brazil, including crucially, two strikes in the bronze medal winning game as his country defeated Honduras 3-2.
