Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer, Stephen Odey has come out to apologise to the management of Mountain of Fire and Miracle and Miracles Football Club over his failed transfer to Danish club, Midtjylland.
Odey who recently was called up to the Super Eagles camp in France was said to have traveled to Denmark to undergo trials without the consent of the club.
After failing to secure the move, Odey is now back at his club and says he “remains focus” and hopes to do more while in camp of the Super Eagles to convince Gernot Rohr over his selection.
“Right now I need to remain focus because many things have happened in the past and I want to plead and apologies for everything that has happened but now I’m looking forward to the Super Eagles assignment.
“For me to claim a permanent shirt in the team, well I think I need to do more of what I normally do before on the field of play and outside the field of play, I need to play to the coaches instructions by so doing so I believe I will be a regular in the team,” the teenage striker disclosed to mountaintopfc.com.
