Super Eagles Chief Coach Salisu Yusuf will lead the delegation of four NPFL players Ibrahim Alhassan (Akwa Utd), Stephen Odey (MFM FC), Ikechukwu Ezenwa (FC Ifeanyi Ubah) and Sikiru Olatunbosun (MFM FC), goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu and backroom staff to Paris, from Paris the team will
travel to Corsica.
Amapakabo who was appointed as one of the assistant coach to Gernot Rohr has been dropped from the traveling party.
“Amapakabo was told he would be part of the team contingent to France but he was later dropped from the team on Sunday night,” Naijafootballplus.com
Amapakabo also missed out from the friendly game in London against Senegal in March due to League engagements when he was coach of Rangers International.
The three –time African champions will take on the Corsica Senior Team at the Stade Francois Coty in Ajaccio starting from 8pm on Friday, 26th May, and then travel to Paris for the game against the Hawks of Togo.
The match against the Hawks has been scheduled for the Stade Municipal de Saint Leu La Foret, Paris on Thursday, 1st June 2017, starting from 7.30pm.
“He is already in Abuja and set to travel but the Federation couldn’t get him a ticket. The directive from the Federation came to the team Administrator Dayo Enebi on Sunday who communicated with Amapakabo via sms,” a source added.
