1. Obafemi Martins ( Shanghai Shenhua )

Obafemi Martins

Obafemi Martins is a name that refuses to go away whenever the Super Eagles are mentioned and that’s down to his lethal form in front of goal.

Martins fired a second half hat trick on Saturday for Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua in their 4-2 win over Hebei Fc to take the number one spot on our list, scoring in the 62, 76, and 90th minutes.

Martins is tipped to make a return to the Super Eagles to provide a solution to the scoring problems of the team at the World Cup.

2. Taiwo Awoniyi  ( Royal Mouscron )

It’s the 5th goal of the season for the 25-year-old Ajagun.

4. Joel Obi ( Torino)

He probably failed to impress many Nigerians on his return to the national team set up, but Joel Obi is having his best season of his career for Italian Serie A team, Torino FC.

Obi came on as a 77th minute second half substitute replacing Iago Falque and took only ten minutes to find the back of the net to hand Torino a 4-0 win over Cagliari away from home.

Joel Obi 26, has now recorded his fifth goal of the campaign for his Turin based side.

5. Kayode Olarenwaju ( Shakhtar Donetsk)

Former Austria Wien top scorer, Kayode Olarenwaju after enduring a failed loan move to La Liga new boys Girona from Manchester City, seems to be picking up the pieces with a goal in a cameo debut appearance for Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

Kayode was introduced in the 90th minute for Facundo Ferreyra and quickly hit a goal in added time to make it 3-0 for Shakhtar Donetsk against Zorya.
