It has become a burning issue that Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is being linked with a move to Italy.

The Spaniard who arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer to much hype and fanfare is now, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, willing to move to AC Milan as the Italian side are considering signing a top pointman into their attack.

Morata leaving to Milan?

The former Real Madrid man arrived at the West London Club as their most expensive signing and got off to a stunning start, scoring 6 goals in 6 games.

But he failed to keep the pace as Chelsea struggled through out the campaign, finishing fifth in the Premier League. A dismal end to the season that saw the axing of former coach Antonio Conte.

To make matters worse for Morata, Olivier Giroud’s addition to the team in the last winter transfer window from Arsenal saw the former Juventus striker relegated to play second fiddle in the team.

The news of Morata leaving Chelsea surfaced following Leonardo’s appointment as Milan’s new sporting director. He has identified Morata as a quality addition to the team.

Naija Football Plus gathered that preliminary talks have started between Milan and Morata’s representatives, and the discussion is springing up good news.

What next for Morata?
