In readiness for the upcoming U20 FIFA Women World cup qualifier, Nigeria’s Falconets have arrived Benin city, venue of the qualifier against Tanzania.
The Nigeria women team are scheduled to play their Tanzania counterparts at the Sam Ogbemudia stadium Benin city on September 16, 2017.
Chris Danjuma and his technical crew have been working with the girls in Abuja for the past 3 weeks and they are expected to scale the Tanzania hurdle.
The Tanzania ladies are expected to arrive Nigeria on Thursday ahead of the qualifier.
Winner of the match will face either Morocco or Senegal for the second round tie.
Nigeria has played in the final of the U20 Women World cup twice, losing on both occasions to Germany and will be looking to go one step further if they qualifier for the next edition coming up in France.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Togo’s Vicentia Enyonam Amedonu as centre referee, she’s to be assisted by Kossima Kpadenu (Togo) and Abra sotsope Agbedanou (Togo).
