The Spanish Laliga was in full swing after the international break and
Nigerian interest registered not very encouraging performances.

Uche Agbo started for relegation threatened Granada who hosted title
chasing Barcelona and lost 1-4 to their more accomplished rivals.

Agbo’s dismal disciplinary record continued unabated as he picked up his
third red card of the season after picking up two quick yellow cards within
90 seconds.

The match was 1-2 before Agbo on loan from Watford, was given his marching
orders with a second yellow card.

Earlier on in the day, Sporting Gijon traveled to Sevilla without super
Eagles left back Elderson Echiejile and picked up an impressive 0-0 draw.
Echiejile is on loan from Monaco.

There was an interesting show featuring former super Eagles brothers Kalu
Uche and Ikechukwu Uche as Almeria clashed against Gimnastic in the Segunda
División.

It was the elder brother kalu Uche who started for Almeria that scored the
only goal of the match.

Ikechukwu Uche came on for Gimnastic FC in the 77th minute, the same time
his elder brother kalu Uche was subbed off for Almeria.
