Super Eagles Star Victor Moses, has been named among the top 11 players in the African continent for the year 2017, after a stellar performance for Chelsea and Nigeria.
Moses was listed by prestigious France Football magazine for his inspiring display for Chelsea as a right full back, on their way to emerging English Premier League champions earlier this year.
The 27 year old narrowly missed out on the final 3 man shortlist for the African footballer of the year to Egyptian Mohammed Salah, Gabon’s Eric Aubameyag and Senegal’s Sadio Mane.
He was also outstanding for the Nigerian national team, helping the Super Eagles land in the Russia 2018 world cup with relative ease, scoring 4goals and assisting two others.
France football magazine described Moses contribution to club and country with this remark:
“Under the direction of Antonio Conte, this right – winger has managed an astonishing tactical conversion into a club, where he has fully blossomed into a defensive role as well as offensive. A champion with the Blues, he
has also taken a leading role in the Super Eagles qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup in Russia where he will be one of the great African attractions,” commented the French publication on the Chelsea star’s
achievements in 2017.
