Former Nigeria Flying Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is without doubt a player of value to German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg according to club coach Bruno Labbadia.

Victor Osimhen in January 2017 officially  signed for Wolfsburg after an initial pre-contract in 2016, following an eye catching performance at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Wolfsburg coach Bruno Labbadia emphasized the importance of the player at a press conference in readiness for their clash against Schalke 04 this weekend.

“Osimhen had his first normal week of training with us.

“The question as to whether he and Dimata will have a role to play, is not an issue.

“Every player is important” Labbadia told the club website.

Osimhen made his debut in the league on 13 May 2017 as a substitute in a 1–1 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

He is however yet to find the back of the net.

Victor Osimhen will be hoping to make the Super Eagles squad to the World Cup after making his Super Eagles debut in a 3-0 win over Togo in a friendly game in France on 1 June 2017.

  1. Thanks for always informing us with the latest happenings in sport. But pls put pressure on the NFF concerning the Golden Eaglets. This is because Ghana who has been given the right to host the WAFU Zone B qualifier in August 2018 has commence preparation with the invitation of 38 players to camp and Nigeria is yet to commence preparation up till now. This is the beginning of failure again. Remember Ghana won the WAFU senior event for both Men and Women and this U17 WAFU Zone B event serves as qualifier for 2019 U17 AFCON Qualifier in Tanzania with the new CAF Rules for U17. The NFF is putting all his eggs in one basket (2018 World Cup) without thinking of Eagles of tomorrow. Pls disturb them with daily report on the activities going on in Golden Eaglets Camp
