Victory on debut excites Afeez Aremu

Former Sharks FC midfielder Afeez Aremu was excited after his Norwegian team IK Start recorded victory on Saturday in his first appearance for the side.

Aremu who joined the team during the winter transfer window started the friendly match between IK Start and Hagesund as he helped the team secure a 2-1 away victory.

The Nigerian who also played for Akwa United in the NPFL expressed happiness on his social media page on Monday.

“Debut with victory……. Allah is my strength,” he wrote.

The youngster left Inter Allies of Ghana without kicking a ball despite signing for them from Akwa United.

Technical adviser of Nigeria senior men’s national football team Gernot Rohr has invited the battling midfielder twice to train with the Super Eagles team while he was still with the Promise Keepers.
