Akwa United midfielder Kelly Kester says his side is good enough to get at least a point when they clash with Enyimba at the UJ Esuene Stadium in what is surely the biggest game of the weekend in the NPFL on Matchday 19.
Enyimba has been in good form in the league having a run of 5 matches unbeaten, with 6 consecutive home wins.
Kester a regular and a major influence in the Akwa side this season is however undaunted by Enyimba’s form believing Akwa United can get a positive result when they clash against Enyimba in Calabar.
“Enyimba no doubt are on a good run of form, but we don’t want to be concerned with that, I think we have the quality to leave Calabar with a positive result and have our heads lifted high,” said Kelly Kester in a telephone chat with Naijafootballplus.com.
The midfielder who joined Akwa United from Enyimba FC at the end of the previous season is unsure what kind of a reception he’ll get in Calabar, but only wants to play and fight for his current team.
“Well, a good reception maybe, but in truth I don’t know what to expect on my return, all I want to do is play and fight for my team Akwa United on the pitch to get the positives.”
