We will beat Rivers United again in Nigeria – KCCA coach

Still basking in the euphoria of their 2-1 win over Nigeria’s representative, Rivers United in the CAF Confederation Cup, coach of Kampala City Council Authority FC, Mike Mutebi is confident of a double victory over the Nigerians.

The Uganda elite side KCCA defeated Rivers united 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Derrick Nsimbambi before Bolaji Sakin halved the scores for the Nigeria side.

According to quotes attributed to Mutebi in the Zambian daily monitor, he said: “We were in charge and troubled them but we were not effective. We should have scored like four goals. I believe if we play like that when we travel away, we shall get results.

KCCA are 2nd on the table in Group A with 6pts from three matches

“We are going to go out and play our
way and I promise you that we shall also try to score away from home. I can assure you we will beat them again in Nigeria, he told daily monitor in Zambia.

Rivers united will host KCAA in Nigeria on June 20 in a must win game. FUS Rabat and KCAA are joint top with six points while Rivers and Club Africain are on three points with the Nigerians bottom of the table by virtue of goals difference.
