As the much anticipated second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup match between Zesco United and Rangers International draw closer, Zesco United of Zambia coach Zlatko Krmpotic is confident of eliminating reigning Nigeria League Champions, Rangers Int’l.
Zesco United secured a valuable 2-2 away draw against the Flying Antelopes last Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Chibuzor Madu put the home side in the lead through a contestable penalty in the 24th minute, with Osas Okoro doubling the advantage in the 46th minute.
However, the Kenyan defense kingpin David Owino “Calabar” led the fight back – pulling one back in the 72nd minute, with substitute Patrick Kongolo, who was making his debut, leveling in the 76th minute.
“We still have 90 minutes to play and it will be different at home and I think we have the ability to win the final leg and qualify to the group stage,” said Krmpotic.
