After been drawn against Esperance FC, debuting Kampala City FC of Uganda and Township Rollers FC of Botswana, Football Director at Al Ahly, Abdel Sayed Hafiz,  says KCCA and Township Rollers are not to be looked over and Al ahly will have to pay them some attention.

The impressive debutants were drawn together with Al Ahly and Tunisia’s Esperance in group A of the 2018 TOTAL CAF Champions League on Wednesday in Cairo.

Sayed described the draw as a balanced one and he looks forward to the game against Esperance FC as one which  always gets so much of excitement and hype around it.

“It is a balanced draw,  We (Al Ahly) will open our campaign against a strong team like Esperance, and matches between the two sides are always excitement packed,” Said Sayed following the draws.

“It is always important to start the competition on a good note, and we will prepare towards that. It is also necessary to pay attention to KCCA and Township Rollers, despite being debutants at this stage” Sayed added.

The Egyptian champions get their Total CAF Champions League Group stage campaign started against Tunisian giants Esperance, followed by a fixture against Ugandan KCCA FC in May, before a double header against Botswana’s Township rollers,  as they seek getting their 9th CAF Champions League trophy.
