After sustaining a hamstring injury in the first leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Africa champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is set to be fit for the second leg.
Ighalo got injured while colliding with Cameroon centre back Christian Ngadeu after netting the opening goal in the encounter.
The former Watford attacker was substituted for Kelechi Iheanacho in the second half of the game owing to the knock he received in the clash.
‘’I was feeling tight on my hamstring, that’s why I didn’t want to force it. We were winning 3-0 then.’’
‘’I am okay and will be ready for our next
game against Cameroon, he stated.
Nigeria will hope to secure the sole ticket of the group to the 2018 mundial by the time they clash with Cameroon in Yaoundé on Monday night.
