World Cup Quarter Final: France, Uruguay gets Argentina match officials


Ahead of the Russia 2018 heavy weight quarter-final clash between two former champions, France and Uruguay, FIFA has named Argentina referee for the tie.

The World football governing body late on Wednesday announced Nestor Pitana as the centre referee.

Pitana who officiated the competition’s opening game between host Russia and Saudi Arabia will be assisted by his compatriots Hernan Maidana and Juan Pablo Bellatti.

The duo of Iranian Alireza Faghani and Sokhandan will serve as 4th official and reserved referee respectively.

The match is scheduled for Friday atNovgorod.
