FC Ifeanyi Ubah striker, Yaya Kone has assured that the Warriors would come out on top in the face off against Rangers FC on Match day 18 in Nnewi on Sunday.
Speaking to Naijafootballplus.com ahead of the Oriental derby, Yaya Kone said a definite victory should be expected for FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
“As an Oriental Derby, the boys know they have to win, and have to put in everything, the spirit is high in our team, it is a sure victory for us, no doubt we are winning tomorrow,” Kone said.
Kone is all hyped up for the match day 18 encounter and looks forward to scoring for his side in the derby. He is however quick to point out that the team will always take precedence above individual glory.
“As a striker, I hope to get goals tomorrow. If I have the opportunity to score 10, I will, but what is most important is the win and 3 points for us.”
The striker also acknowledges the importance of fans in big games such as the Oriental Derby and expects massive support and chants from the club’s fans for the home game.
“The fans are always important in such games, and my word to them is to keep the bands rolling, because there is no room for disappointment come Sunday.”
