Chelsea’s French central defender Kurt Zouma has secured a season-long loan to English Premier League side Stoke City for the 2017/2018 season.
The 22-year-old Zouma while granting his first interview after signing for stoke revealed that his decision was based on advice of his Chelsea teammates who have previously played at the Britannia stadium (Victor Moses and Van Ginkel)
“The manager spoke very well and I also spoke to a few of my teammates at Chelsea, who had played here before, and they had many very good things to say,” Zouma told stokecity.com.
“They told me that I would be made to feel very welcome here, that I would be looked after and that the group of players here would help me to settle straight in.”
Zouma signed a 6-year deal with Chelsea before joining Stoke on loan to get game time and experience.
He was linked to Lyon and Marseille in France while Premier League sides like Newcastle, Everton and Crystal palace also wanted him
