Former Dream Team VI forward Taiwo Awoniyi has continued to make headlines in the Belgium Jupiler League with his superlative performance.
He was on top of his game again on Sunday as he played a key role in Royal Mouscron’s victory over his former club KAA Gent.
Awoniyi left Gent during the winter transfer window for his parent club Liverpool who loaned him back to Mouscron.
He opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a sublime finish before Sidney Friede doubled the lead in the 51st minute.
Dylan Bronn halved the scores in the 60th minute from the penalty spot and ended the game at 2-1 in favour of Mouscron.
Since returning to Mouscron for his second spell, Awoniyi has been outstanding for the club.
