Osun United coach, Duke Udi has said that his players must convert their chances if they are to achieve their targets.
The omuolabi giants recorded their fourth win of the ongoing Bet9ja Nigeria National League thanks to a 2-1 victory over Go Round FC but Udi was left unhappy with the number of chances his players failed to convert to goals.
“As usual we created numerous chances against Go Round FC today (saturday) but we were unable to convert most of them” Udi told naijafootballplus.com
“We will keep on working on our areas of weaknesses, especially the act of converting our chances. We will continue to do our best to bring out the best in the team. It was a tough encounter because both teams came all out desperate to get three points.
“We are not playing badly at all even on away ground but the players must be more proficient infront of goal to ensure that we achieve our season’s target. We must start that from our next game in Owerri against Heartland FC next weekend and the other games we have after then”, he said.
The Osogbo city outfit have scored 11 times this season, and they are yet to record an away win but only manage a draw with one hundred percent home record and the win over Omoku based side saw them climb to 6th position after they having garnered 13 points from eight games.
In their next fixture, Duke Udi and his charges travel to Owerri to engage Heartland FC on match day nine of the NNL and he assured that they will get their first away victory against the Naze millionaires.
