World football governing body FIFA has announced the schedule, draw dates and venue for the upcoming 2019 women world cup slated for France.
It was revealed that the official draw for the 2019 World Cup will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at la Seine Musicale in Paris.
FIFA revealed Paris, Lyon, Grenoble, Le Havre, Montpellier, Nice, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes will also host matches throughout the tournament.
The tournament will kick off on June 7 at Parc de Princes in Paris with the group stage
running from June 7-20.
Elimination round kicks off on June 22 and concludes with the final on July 7. Both the
semifinals and final will be held in Lyon.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria who is expected to be one of the country that will carry African flag in that tournament will begin their road to qualification when they face the winner between Burkina Faso and Gambia.
If they scale the hurdle, they will be opportune to defend the trophy they won in Cameroon in 2016 by qualifying for Ghana 2018.
The 11th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations would also serve as qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA
Women’s World Cup and will see the top three teams head to France.
