Ekene Awazie and Pascal Seka ensured FC Ifeanyi Ubah got their very first league win in 5 consecutive NPFL matches and ended Heartland’s fairy tale unbeaten run away from home this season as the Anambra warriors overcame Heartland 2-0 at Nnewi. The defeat also meant that Heartland are yet to score any NPFL goal away at Nnewi and FC Ifeanyi Ubah kept their record of having won all their encounters against Heartland in Nnewi.

In Enugu it ended in a 1-0 win for Rangers which means El-kanemi have just stretched their consecutive losses away from home to 1620 minutes (18 matches), they are yet to score, draw or win away at Rangers since 2013 and have now failed to score any goal in their last 5 consecutive NPFL away matches. Meanwhile Rangers have now kept clean sheets in 3 consecutive NPFL matches.

Go Round won 1-0 at home to Abia Warriors which is the very first time Go Round kept a clean sheet at home in their last 3 consecutive NPFL home matches and the defeat condemned Abia Warriors to 6 straight losses away from home in the NPFL.

Martins Ursule’s 85th minute consolation goal meant Katsina United have ended their run of no NPFL away goal in 3 matches as they went down 2-1 to Kwara United in Ilorin. The win meant Kwara United have now stretched their winning streak at home to 3 and compounded Katsina United’s losing streak to 6 matches away from home.

Alebiosu’s lone goal was good enough to end Niger Tornadoes’ winless 5-match streak and earn them their first point at home in 3 matches as Tornadoes won 1-0 against Nasarawa United at Lokoja. The defeat compounded Nasarawa’s woes of loses away from home which has now reached 8 consecutive losses.

Sunshine Stars stretched their clean sheet streak to 3 matches at home despite playing out a 0-0 draw with Kano Pillars in Akure which meant Pillars have now stretched their clean sheet streak to 4 consecutive NPFL matches without conceding and stretched their unbeaten streak to 5 consecutive NPFL matches without a loss. The draw also meant that Sunshine’s winning streak of 7 consecutive NPFL home matches has come to an end.

Philip Asuquo’s 80th minute penalty goal was enough to stretch Yobe Stars’ winning streak to 4 consecutive NPFL home wins and clean sheet streak to 4 consecutive NPFL clean sheets at home as Yobe Desert Stars won Rivers United 1-0 in Damaturu. The defeat put Rivers United away form in more misery as they have now lost their last 5 consecutive NPFL away matches and failed to score in any of their last 4 consecutive NPFL away matches.
