Abia Warriors coach, Emmanuel Deutsch has admitted not knowing what is wrong with his strikers as his team continued their struggle to convert their chances in front of goal.
The Cameroonian who earlier complained of not having his own players in the team after his team failed to score in a 0-0 draw at home in Umuahia last week, also picked out his strikers once again when his side lost 2-0 in Omoku to newly promoted Go Round FC.
Coach Deutsch who acknowledged his players brilliance, wondered why they find it difficult to score.
“We made a change and it was not a bad change. We changed Obi, not because he is a bad player but I do not know what happened to him today,” he said.
In his post match reactions, He also accepted his defeat in Omoku and shifted his focus on to the next game.
“Go Round won 1-0 and I accept the defeat. We will go back home and assess the boys for the next match.” Coach Emmanuel concluded.
It could be recalled that Coach Emmanuel Deutsch was drafted in as a replacement for the demoted Rafael Everton who set up the team before his vacation and subsequent demotion to the youth team.
Abia Warriors are 19th as a result of this defeat and will host Yobe Desert Stars on 18th February at the Umuahia township stadium as they continue to push for survival in the NPFL.
