The meeting of Russia Football Union was held on Wednesday in Moscow and the license of the club was revoked due to the failure of the club to provide financial guarantees for activities in the required amount for the upcoming season.

The club released the statements through it’s official website.

“Today in Moscow, a meeting of the RFU Commission on the licensing of football clubs was held.

“Following the meeting, the commission revoked the license of FC Amkar for the 2018/2019 season.

“Thus our club lost the opportunity to participate in the Russian Football Championship next season.

“In connection with the revocation of the license, the board will convene on June 18th to analyze the situation and make a decision on the expediency of continuing the activities of the club”, the club said.

The outcome of the Monday’s meeting will determine the future of Brian Idowu with the team after the World Cup.
