Kano Pillars FC thrashed Nigeria National League team, Giodano FC of Kano 4-1 in a warm up friendly match played on Wednesday at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.
Two goals from Junior Lokosa and one apiece from Nwagua Nyima and Adamu Hassan were all the Pyramid City boys needed to see off the NNL outfit.
Striker Nwagua Nyima opened scoring for the Sai Masu Gida eight minutes into actions before Adamu Hassan doubled the advantage in the 35th minute.
Emma Adaguala pulled one back for Giodano in the 44th minute to leave the scoreline decent at the break.
Current league top scorer Junior Lokosa came from the bench in the second half and completed the job with a brace in 76th and 78th minutes of play.
Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars Football Club, Ibrahim A. Musa spoke after the game and remarked the players are getting back in shape for the tough end to the NPFL season.
The game was the first in the lineup of friendlies for the four-time NPFL champions since resuming training last Monday.
They will next host another NNL outfit, Gombe United on Saturday in their final warm up game ahead of the league resumption tie at home against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri next Wednesday.
