Odey nets goal no 9 in Switzerland


Former MFM FC striker, Stephen Odey, continue to make headlines in the Switzerland Super League with his mouth watering displays every week.

FC Zurich played away to FC Luzern and recorded an emphatic 5-2 win.

Toni Domgion, opened scoring in the 5th minute before little known Nigeria forward Blessing Eleke levelled the game in the 12th minute.

Odey restored Zurich’s lead in the 27th minute of the game and ensured a 2-1 lead in the first half.

The second stanza resumed with Zurich still dominating the play and they made it 3-1 in the 70th minute through Benjamin Kolloli.

Antonio Marchesano made it 4-1 before Odey was substituted for Assan Ceesay in the 85th minute.

Ruben Vargas reduced the tally for Luzern in the 90th minute before Adrian Winter made it 5-2 in the added time.

Odey has now scored 9 goals in 14 matches for Zurich this season.
