“I feel good joining the team, perfect time to move and for me to embrace another challenge in my career. I’m excited and I’m looking forward to the competition in Morocco,” Okpotu told Naijafootballplus.com from his new team base in Morocco.

The Lobi Stars striker who notched 19 goals to emerged highest goalscorer in the NPFL last season had unsuccessful trial with Danish League giant Brondby.

“I wouldn’t say it was long over due for me to move abroad from the NPFL, when it’s time it will happen but if it’s not time it won’t happen. This is the approved time for me by God and it’s a perfect moment,” he said.

He added; “I’m only thinking of one thing with my new team to continue scoring goals, I need to make impact and justify the believe in my quality. They didn’t mentioned it that my performance in the CHAN tournament earned me the deal, but it was obvious the CHAN tournament contributed to the transfer.”
