Paul Onuachu goals turned out to be the winner in FC Midtjylland’s 4-3 win over FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark’s top flight league on Sunday.
It all started brilliantly for Midtjylland who had two Nigerians on parade – Paul Onuachu and midfielder Rilwan Hassan as they went four goals up within an hour.
It took Zsolt Korcsmar seconds after kickoff to net the opener. Rasmus Nissen made it two within 20 minutes on the clock before Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu scored the third on the stroke of half time.
At the resumption of the second half, Onauchu scored again, this time Rilwan Hassan created the assist for the goal in the 53rd minute.
Then came the fight back led by Godsway Donyoh who scored in the 66th minute for FC Nordsjaelland. Two more goals soon followed after Rilwan Hassan was subbed off in the 74th minute with Godsway Donyoh getting his second in the 80th minute.
Mathias Jensen’s 90th minute goal set up a nervy finish for Midtjylland, but they held out to see off FC Nordsjaelland.
