Four-time African Women’s footballer of the year winner, Perpetua Nkwocha is among the notable African legends invited by the Confederation of Africa Football ( CAF) for the glamorous annual award to be held on the 8th of January 2019.
African legends and past winners were invited by CAF for the event in Dakar Senegal and Nkwocha who remains the only player to have won the women’s African best award for a record of four times will lead other African legends to the award night.
Most of the African women legends missed the 15th edition in Accra Ghana 2017 due to logistics problem from CAF.
Speaking exclusively to www.naijafootballplus.com , Sweden resident Nkwocha, confirmed that she will be in Dakar for the 2018 award night.
“Yeah I can confirm that I will be in Dakar for the CAF award night, my return flight ticket has been sent to me by CAF and I’m looking forward to the big event on January 8th 2019”.
Other notable legends expected in Dakar are U.S based Mercy Akide, who made history when she became the first woman to win the award in 2001, also two-time winners, Cynthia Uwak from Nigeria, Alberta Sackey and Adjoa Bayor both from Ghana, Noko Matlou from South Africa, and Genoveva Anonma from Equatorial Guinea.
