Suleiman joins Bundesliga 2 side


Little known former Nigeria Junior international, Suleiman Abdulahi has joined the German Bundesliga 2 side 1. Union Berlin, from another German side Eintracht Braunschweig on loan till the end of the season.
From a young age, Abdullahi has spent his footballing career abroad. In February 2015, he left his hometown club El-Kanemi Warriors to join Viking Stavanger in Norway’s top division. 
The striker made such an impression with 13 goals in 40 Eliteserien games that Eintracht Braunschweig came calling in the summer of 2016.
The 1.85m striker appeared 43 times for the club from the Eintracht-Stadion.
The German side announced his signing via the club official website on Tuesday.
Our target was to sign a striker who was versatile and still capable of further development. Suleiman has all these qualities, but he already has a lot of experience and game time in the Bundesliga 2. 
He’ll bring extra quality to our attack. His current injury is being treated and after rehab, he’ll join the team for training.

The 21 year old forward also excited about the move, The last few weeks weren’t easy because it wasn’t clear where I would play next season,” said Abdullahi. 
“I’m pleased that it has finally worked out and I know how it will progress. Berlin is a great city, Union is a cool club and I already know the atmosphere at the stadium. 
Now I want to get to know the team as quickly as possible and finally get back on the pitch” he said.
He will have the jersey number 20 for the club.
