Match Day 9 NPFL rescheduled fixture at the new Jos stadium sees current league title holders, Plateau and 2016 league champions, Enugu Rangers face off in a game that has the markings to be an explosive contest.
Ahead of the match on Wednesday, Rangers defender Chibuzor Madu says they are not scared of Plateau United who are on a roll at the moment.
The reigning NPFL champions thrashed Cameroonian club Eding Sport 0-4 on aggregate to progress to the second round of qualification in the CAF Champions League and sit in 6th position, two points off top spot.
Speaking with Naijafootballplus.com Madu said: “We are prepared for the vital clash for us, the team is ready to go against Champions Plateau.
“We respect them as champions and as a team no doubt about that, but we don’t fear them. We [Rangers Int’l] also won the league 2 seasons ago and we still want to repeat the same thing this season.”
Rangers dropped points at home to Kano Pillars at the weekend after they drew 1-1, Madu insists they will approach the match as though their lives depended on it.
He added: “So we take every game serious as if our lives depend on it. No two ways about it, we are fighting for three points on that day and we are going for the whole point.”
